Coronavirus March 14th Update

South Ridge Family,
Yesterday you received a notice from me outlining precautions we planned to take to increase health measures and mitigate the spread of germs during our Sunday services. Since yesterday, though, the Governor held a press conference asking for the public’s cooperation in combatting the spread of the virus and made a decision to suspend school indefinitely.

As a result of these recent developments, we have decided it is best to honor our governing authorities and love our community by moving our worship service online. We will not gather in person at either of our locations this Sunday. You will be able to experience a full worship service at on Sunday morning at 11 AM. The Sunday service will then continue to be available on our website and by a link on our social media platforms.
This weekend we will begin a new message series through Paul’s letter to the Romans and we would love to think you will continue to engage in worship and the study of God’s Word along with us. We will also provide resources to those of you who normally have children in Ridge Kids so that you can continue to come alongside your children in their faith development.
We have determined that we are going to go ahead with the Student Ministries Spring Bash tonight, solely because the majority of the students attending and who were present at school today have already been exposed to one another. If that is not the case and your student has not been exposed, we trust you will make a wise decision as to whether or not your student attends tonight.
However, all other events scheduled at either of our locations this weekend are canceled.

That includes the Freedom Encounter that was scheduled at the Fairmont location for Sunday night.
Community Groups that meet offsite will continue to meet at the discretion of each group. Our Community Groups are a great way for us to continue to be the church to one another and to the community in this time. Leaders should consider what is best for their family and members and coordinate directly with their Community Group Coach regarding any necessary guidance.
As of now, the church office will be open during regular business hours. We are continually monitoring the situation, and we will do our best to keep you updated and connected through email and social media as the situation evolves. You can also visit for the latest updates.  Finally—let's pray, not panic.  Keep your eyes and heart fixed and focused on Jesus. God is good, God is faithful, God is with us, and God is in control. Give all your worries and cares to God, for He cares about you. [1 Peter 5:7]
